Global People Development (GPD) is a high performing HR Centre of Expertise with a pursuit for developing prioritised, business driven people capabilities - whilst delivering an exceptional learner experience. As a member of this team, the Learning & Skills Optimisation Consultant will drive a culture where learning and skills development enable colleagues to take accountability for achieving their personal and career development, whilst also supporting M&G to achieve its strategy – aligned with our values and behaviours. In addition, they will support the development, alignment and execution of our digital learning strategy to deliver a simplified, personalised, one-stop-shop and an exceptional learner experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow our learning culture by supporting impactful blended and technology enabled skills development experiences in the flow of work, aligned to business strategic priorities.
- Increase utilisation and ROI by aligning and executing digital learning and skills solutions into the broader GPD roadmap.
- Support the creation of compelling digital learning campaigns for multi-level and global audiences that deliver business impact and drive culture change.
- Build and manage internal and external relationships across the organisation including: Business SMEs, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Internal Communications, Technology and external preferred partners. Use these relationships to drive execution.
- Optimise digital learning platforms and systems – maintaining operational stability and providing an exceptional learner experience.
- Identify opportunities to develop bespoke content outside of platform capabilities, where required.
- Develop and implement a roadmap of work, with clear key milestones, objectives and key results.
- Manage projects and programmes, both independently or as a member of a cross-functional team.
- Seek out and use data to drive continuous improvement, future performance and demonstrate business impact and return on investment.
- Optimise external partners.
- Consult across the organisation to solve prioritised learning needs.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Building relationships and working collaboratively to achieve shared objectives and key results.
- Developing and delivering both verbal and written communications (including digital) that meet the needs of multi-level audiences and drive desired outcomes.
- Using key data and commercial indicators to drive better business decisions, including leveraging learning analytics to inform content curation, platform optimisation, and strategy.

- Proactively identifying and embedding innovations in learning technology and applications.

- Knowledge and experience of applying learning (including skills) methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge and experience of optimising digital learning platforms.
- Knowledge and experience of curating and creating content using instructional design, authoring and graphic design tools.
