Shipping Investment Director Infracapital / M&G Private Markets is building a team to invest in sustainable ships on long-term charters. The initiative is led by Paulo Almeida, who joined in 2025 with 30 years of experience. We are seeking an Investment Director in the team for a combination of investment origination, transaction execution and portfolio management. Candidates should have >10 years relevant experience in investing or corporate finance in the transport sector, and ideally primarily in shipping. The role is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a new initiative in one of the largest private markets investors in Europe, and to be involved in the decarbonisation of the global shipping industry.
Key Responsibilities for this Role:
- Originate and/or execute investments in dual-fuel ships with long-term charters globally
- Work with Infracapital / M&G Private Markets senior management to grow the business segment
- Build relationships with industry stakeholders and investment partners
- Develop junior investment talent
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in corporate finance / investment analysis in transport, ideally in shipping
- Industry network: corporates, advisers, financiers
- Transaction management and/or portfolio management
- Strong communicator internally and externally
