On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a

Head of GRC Transformation & Capability based in London for a 6-month contract. It will be hybrid model.

We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer workplace accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role.

Purpose of the role

The Interim Head of GRC Transformation & Capability will support the Head of TGRC in stabilising, integrating and maturing the Technology Governance, Risk & Controls function following its recent expansion into the Technology COO organisation.

The role is focused on enhancing the operating model, governance, workforce planning and organisational capability, while driving strategic priorities, improving business management practices and embedding sustainable ways of working across the TGRC function.

  • What you\'ll do
  • Lead the integration, stabilisation and enhancement of the TGRC operating model.
  • Drive improvements to governance, management frameworks and ways of working.
  • Establish effective business management, workforce planning and resource management processes.
  • Develop and enhance management information (MI), reporting and leadership dashboards.
  • Strengthen leadership capability, organisational effectiveness and succession planning.
  • Improve the consistency and quality of technology risk and control assessment activities.
  • Support delivery of the TGRC strategy and operating model roadmap.
  • Lead strategic improvement initiatives across governance, reporting and organisational effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement across governance, reporting, operational resilience and cross-functional collaboration to deliver a sustainable operating model.

  • Strong understanding of governance, risk and controls operating models within a regulated financial services environment.

Strong knowledge of business management , organisational effectiveness and operational governance disciplines.

  • Understanding of technology risk, controls assurance, operational resilience and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience building management information, governance and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, organisational design and capability development practices.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools and new technologies with the ability to champion team learning and coach business colleagues when required.
  • Essential knowledge of three lines of defence practice.
