Head of AI and Capacity Creation – CFT
Job Summary
This role bridges the gap between organizational strategy and actionable technology initiatives. You will define the approach for how we measure and track the value and capacity creation we generate through AI and analytics opportunities, partnering with the CITOs, AI and Analytics leads in the Business teams to help achieve a 30% efficiency uplift by 2028.. You will help teams identify and shape strategic initiatives and create compelling business cases, and ensure alignment with business objectives. You will be a disruptive thinker, shaping the Corporate Functions strategic technology direction ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation.
You will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to analyse opportunities, address complex challenges, and develop strategies that align with long-term goals specifically around capacity creation. Responsibilities will involve strategizing and planning initiatives to leverage intelligent automation technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimise business processes. This will entail identifying opportunities for automation, designing solutions, overseeing implementation, and continuously refining processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- A disruptive leader, at the forefront of AI trends and technologies with the ability to develop and execute AI and Analytics strategies that align with business goals, focusing on capacity creation and operational efficiency.
Innovation & Technology Adoption:
- You will identify high impact AI and Analytics use cases exploiting opportunities for innovation and process optimization, articulating these in a way that is understandable to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring their buy in at all points.
- Create roadmaps and delivery plans to achieve the proposed strategies. Define and develop metrics and KPIS to effectively measure performance and impact of initiatives
Productivity Enhancement:
- Lead AI and analytics-driven projects aimed at increasing productivity and operational efficiency within support functions.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate AI and analytics solutions that address specific business challenges.
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide AI and analytics strategy that aligns with business goals and enhances productivity across corporate functions.
- Identify opportunities for AI and analytics adoption to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at senior level to drive and shape the technology and AI & Analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture and the CTO.
- Experience in creating metrics to measure automation benefits (including automated FTE & risk benefits)
- Market Analysis: Identify innovation opportunities across Corporate Functions Technologies (HR, Finance, Risk, CoSec & Legal), staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience of scaling intelligent automation initiatives within financial services
- Strong understanding of AI and Analytics, associated governance, and ethical AI practices.
- Excellent strategic planning and leadership skills, with a track record of driving innovation and efficiency through AI and Analytics initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels up to Exco
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex AI and Analytics concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in developing and implementing AI strategies that align with business objectives.
- Experience creating and presenting business cases to senior stakeholders, up to Exco level
- Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders, helping to educate them in the area of AI and Analytics, and promote how we can use Data and AI to drive value from Data
- Demonstrable background in introducing LLMS/Gen AI to an organization with compelling ROI-based outcomes.
- Knowledge of the latest AI and Analytics technologies and trends, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
