This role is in the Group reporting function in Finance leading the day‑to‑day management processes around regular FTSE 100 reporting to the market and other regulatory reporting including the Annual Report and Accounts process. The role will manage a team of three process support analysts assisting across the Group reporting team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the process management team with a commercial mindset to support the group financial reporting activity and ensure that M&G plc Group Reporting meets regulatory obligations and deadlines.
- End‑to‑end IFRS consolidated financial statements production process (interim and year end).
- Quarterly results process across Group key metrics through to market reporting.
- Annual report production process including liaison with content drafters across the business, design agency and printers.
- Quarterly Solvency II reporting processes and production of annual Solvency and Financial Condition Report.
- Sustainability reporting processes as they develop to embed upcoming regulatory requirements.
- Regular reporting to Audit Committee and other key governance bodies.
- External audit processes including the activity to manage audit requests and deliverables.
- Embed and continue to develop through improvement, the design of the key processes.
- Develop deep understanding of the end‑to‑end reporting processes and the critical path to meet the Group’s reporting obligations.
- Respond to ad hoc requests relating to all aspects of the finance reporting function using own initiative and in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the finance community and wider stakeholders including corporate affairs and company secretariat.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls around reporting processes.
- A keen business operations manager with relevant process experience and understanding of financial reporting processes and governance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team manager with ability to develop and influence to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong skills in MS Word and Powerpoint, and a willingness to embrace AI tools where appropriate.
- Ability to work under pressure with no compromises in quality.
