Summary: Investment Funds Direct Limited ("IFDL") is an FCA regulated platform provider, ISA Manager and SIPP Operator. It offers a comprehensive online investment and wrap platform providing clients with access to over 4,200 funds, over 100 discretionary fund managers and a variety of tax wrappers, investment options, stockbroking facilities and cash management solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring, challenging and opining on the effectiveness of the Financial Crime and Data Privacy frameworks.
- Promoting an appropriate Risk Culture; supporting and challenging the business to make informed decisions on both operational and strategic activities.
- Challenging and informing Board understanding of overall risk profile of IFDL through risk information and reporting.
- Advising on and assessing the adequacy of the measures adopted by the company to achieve compliance and to prevent non-compliance with its regulatory obligations.
- Advise and support the business in implementing and embedding measures to ensure compliance with group tier one policies.
- Oversight and challenge of the setting of risk appetite by the Board.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Relevant experience working within financial crime and able to demonstrate appropriate understanding of the financial crime risks inherent in the platform/wealth management sectors.
- Experienced in design and embedding of financial crime policy, training, governance and escalation models, including providing oversight on MI (KPIs and KRIs), data and analytics setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading cross‑functional teams including compliance, risk, technology and operations.
