The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join the Portfolio Management team on a permanent contract. This role will support the day-to-day management of the portfolios, including segregated mandates and pooled funds, with a focus on private equity and real asset strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with portfolio managers and deal teams to ensure portfolios remain aligned with investment objectives, liquidity needs, and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Monitoring & Support

  • Assist with the preparation of materials for portfolio IC meetings.
  • Assist with portfolio monitoring, review investment NAVs and performance metrics.
  • Oversight of Funds’ NAVs.

Strategic Oversight & Product Management

  • Oversight and management of various M&G Alternatives legal entities, approximately 30 legal entities (Funds, GP and Carry Vehicles)
  • Oversight of Service Providers (Administrator, Fund Accountants, Depositary, Auditors)
  • Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory frameworks, working closely with M&G Tax and Compliance teams.
  • Working with internal M&G teams and assisting with their reporting requirements.
  • Review the current processes, procedures and systems. Recommend improvements then document and implement them across the team.

Client Reporting & Fund Launch Support

  • Support the onboarding and operational setup of new fund launches, including data and reporting infrastructure.
  • Assist with new client onboarding.
  • Contribute to the preparation of client reports, board materials, and investment committee packs.
  • Review and update as required for the monthly and quarterly performance reports.
  • Manage client queries.

Other

  • Assist with deal closing process.
  • Manage invoicing and M&G Recharges Process.
  • Assist with RFPs and Marketing Materials

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in investment operations, investment finance, or fund management support.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work independently.
  • Confident, with the ability to deal with multiple internal clients and external clients.
  • Highly organized, adherence to internal deadlines and appropriate escalation any issues.
  • Interest in private markets.

Desirable

  • Exposure to private equity, real assets, or semi-liquid fund structures.
