The Role: Sales Support Executive
Location: Edinburgh or Stirling
An exciting opportunity to join the Sales Support Team within the Prudential Intermediaries Operations function. We are looking for someone who demonstrates passion to help customers to achieve great outcomes.
As a Sales Support Executive ("SSE"), you will help Financial Advisers strengthen and grow their business and make M&G their provider of choice, helping both them and their clients achieve positive outcomes. You will work in partnership with the Intermediated Distribution sales teams (Prudential Account Managers) to achieve their growth ambition and deliver their sales targets.
Our aim is to build trust and confidence with our advisers, developing and nurturing our relationships, through our knowledge and experience in order to deliver the collective business objectives.
This role presents a great opportunity to build extensive knowledge on our wide range of propositions, working alongside talented individuals, and is a great place to work to support your career development and professional qualifications aspirations.
The role is full time, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and based at our Edinburgh office (South Gyle) or our Kildean, Stirling office. After an initial training period a hybrid model of working is implemented, with part of the week in the office (3 days) and part working from home.
Key Responsibilities for this role:

  • To educate our Advisers how to save time by becoming self-sufficient with our digital and product journeys
  • Support our Advisers with their product & proposition enquiries, helping them navigate our systems to maximise the use of our online tools, with the aim of a seamless journey
  • To inform Advisers and their teams of our extensive range of tools, calculators, marketing and technical support available
  • Facilitate service issue challenges through to resolutions when all else has failed, managing adviser expectations in line with Prudential's timescales
  • Working in partnership with our Account Managers, you will proactively identify and follow up with advisers on lead generation opportunities, helping to maximise sales aligned to our panels business plans
  • Identifying and supporting potential new business opportunities by engaging with Advisers

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role is essential
  • Experience of working within Financial Services is desirable, where you will have developed a commercial mindset
  • Relevant professional qualification (R01 or equivalent is ideal), or demonstrates a willingness to work towards this
  • Resilient, confident and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work well under pressure, remaining calm to handle objections, demonstrating an ability to 'think outside the box'
  • Can work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload on an inter-daily basis, dynamically responding to the requirements of the role
  • Demonstrates accountability and ownership for delivery
  • Effective communication skills with an ability to interpret and articulate requirements, resolve issues and manage complex/technical enquiries
