MG OMD is searching for a Paid Search Senior Account Executive to join the team working on Waitrose. The Senior Executive will build upon existing foundations through experimentation and deliver best‑in‑class media, shaping performance and delivering future‑facing technology and solutions. This role primarily focuses on paid search but offers opportunities to develop skills across the wider investment team. It requires someone with enthusiasm, a creative mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Qualifications

  • Experience running advertising campaigns across Google and Microsoft search.
  • Experience producing detailed media plans across a variety of objectives and targeting types.
  • Knowledge of optimising search campaigns to improve performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; some PowerPoint experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with numbers.
  • Ability to work methodically, with a calm demeanor, and deliver high‑quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Analytical: comfortable with numbers and data.
  • Implementation: use Google, Microsoft, and Search Ads 360 platforms for day‑to‑day changes and analysis.
  • Growth: eager to learn and grow within the role and develop a deeper understanding of the search market and clients.
  • Client Management: communicate with clients on a weekly basis and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Team Player: support and develop talent within the marketing team.
  • Platform Experience: use Google and Microsoft Ads; Search Ads 360 experience is a preference.
  • Attention to Detail: produce reports, commentary, e‑mails, and overall communication with careful precision.
  • Proactive: bring confident views and ideas to the team.

Implementation

  • Make changes within bidding platforms.
  • Analyse data and recommend changes within platforms.
  • Set up and launch campaigns.
  • Ensure the QA process is followed and work is of the highest quality.
  • Monitor performance closely and recommend improvements.

Reporting

  • Pull, analyse, and present reports on a weekly basis.
  • Spot trends and deliver learnings to clients.
  • Present reports to clients confidently.
  • Support ad hoc and wider reporting requirements.

Day to Day

  • Monitor campaign performance daily.
  • Assist with planning tasks carried out by the Executive, Account Manager, and Director.
  • Daily pacing and reporting.
  • Liaise with clients and internal client teams.
  • End‑of‑month reconciliation of finance.
  • Participate in training.
  • Act as a team player.

Flexible Working

MG OMD offers a hybrid working model: three days in the office and two days working remotely. Standard hours are 9:30 – 17:30, with flexibility to adjust within core hours of 10:30 – 16:30. Employees may choose to start earlier or finish later to accommodate personal needs.
