The Role: We have an exciting opportunity within the Global RFP Team for an RFP Writer to support M&G’s Fixed Income asset class, focusing on the production of high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs for large-scale wholesale and institutional opportunities. The role offers exposure to M&G’s core Fixed Income strategies, including investment grade, high yield, emerging markets, government bonds, ABS and our multi-sector unconstrained and flexible strategies. The successful candidate will be flexible in supporting all strategies across the Fixed Income platform and will have opportunities to support M&G’s wider asset classes as required.
We are seeking an individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will bring a proactive, inquisitive and enthusiastic approach to RFP work, with a genuine motivation to learn and develop expertise across M&G’s Fixed Income business. This role provides the opportunity to further develop writing, analytical and interpersonal skills, while working closely with a high-performing, collaborative and supportive RFP team. The RFP Writer will collaborate with teams across M&G, contribute to team strategy, and support the continued success of our award-winning and growing Fixed Income business.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivery of high-quality RFPs, RFIs and DDQs on M&G funds across the Wholesale and Institutional businesses.
- Liaise with investment specialists, directors, content writers, compliance, performance and risk departments etc. and a variety of other sources within M&G to ensure responses are optimal and tailored appropriately.
- Participate in wider team projects involving the content database (RocketDocs) as well as ad-hoc projects to build the team's profile around the business.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance current processes and controls and support in the improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk.
- Experience of working in asset management in an RFP role.
- Previous Fixed Income experience and desire to learn about the asset class.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage multiple RFP projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Good creative writing skills and good grammar/authoring; Ability to write in a clear, concise manner.
- Confident liaising with stakeholders of varying seniority and the ability to build good working relationships by understanding needs and requirements.
- Knowledge of Q&A databases is preferred (RocketDocs).
- Proficient in the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to write for multiple audiences and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and control multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative to improve RFP processes and content.
- Ideally IMC qualified or working towards this or other relevant qualifications.
