The Role: You will be joining M&G Advice in a key role supervising and helping Financial Advisers and Adviser firms develop in a number of ways to improve competence and capability, deliver high quality client outcomes and achieve business goals. We are looking for you to have experience in building relationships in a business to business environment, regulatory supervision role for self-employed advisers along with coaching and developing advisers and their businesses.

By joining this new team, you can help shape the role going forward along with supporting the change programme we have as a business to achieve the exciting growth plans we are all working towards. You will be in a key role to ensure we’re meeting our regulatory requirements and supporting our Advisers to thrive. Travel would be on the needs of the advisers you work with along with occasional travel to the regional offices in the UK (London, Edinburgh).

Key Accountabilities for the Role:

  • Manage adviser segmentation within the Supervision & Development Consultant contact strategy, delivering annual reviews, structured touchpoints, and targeted interventions where required.
  • Build Competence and Capability to deliver Good Client outcomes and build foundations for business growth.
  • Complete and accurately document all supervisory activity, including annual and focused interventions, ensuring robust records are maintained within CRM systems and relevant audit logs.
  • Prioritise higher-risk advisers ensuring effective risk identification, management, and mitigation.
  • Support adviser-led development activity, ensuring appropriate evidence and documentation is captured.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Advisers, ARs, and key stakeholders, embedding the M&G engagement blueprint.
  • Develop and continuously evolve “Getting to Know You” profiles and business plans, identifying development and growth opportunities and engaging specialist support where appropriate.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for your adviser population, supporting delivery of strategic initiatives and identifying those requiring additional support or able to champion change.
  • Support implementation and embedding of regulatory, operational, and business changes across adviser businesses.
  • Oversee adviser conduct, ensuring alignment with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards while promoting a culture of accountability and integrity.
  • Proactively identify and manage conduct or performance issues in line with risk and compliance frameworks.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in financial services supervision, adviser oversight, or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, compliance and commercial acumen within wealth or financial advice.
  • Ability to analyse data and KPI performance to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills, with a focus on maintaining clear audit trails.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and challenge constructively.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver structured oversight across a diverse adviser population.

Key Qualifications:

  • Essential: Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers.
  • Desirable: Supervisory qualification.
