THE ROLE

Work directly with the Compliance Officer in London responsible for the global ESG Compliance Program to execute and facilitate project management and the monitoring of ESG related processes. This position will be expected to organize and administer tasks related to ESG initiatives and projects that contribute to the oversight and operations of the compliance program. This position additionally works with other colleagues within the Compliance team as well as business partners within other parts of the organization such as Legal, Global Distribution, and Investments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support procedures of the ESG Compliance Program using knowledge of securities markets and project management skills.
  • Display, or actively gather, a detailed understanding of the business needs and objectives of the program and related internal clients globally based on current initiative or project.
  • Provide project management, prioritization, and direction to team members to accomplish defined deliverables.
  • Actively communicate with team members and stakeholders regarding ESG initiatives.
  • Plan and prepare periodic daily, monthly and quarterly tasks as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on a wide array of initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills, including the ability to work across the organization, across regions, and interact effectively at all levels of management and peers.
  • Organize and input data from various sources into internal systems used by the ESG program.
  • Ability to review ESG related content, including RFPs, marketing materials, and reports, to identify inconsistencies related to the investment process or regulatory requirements prior to distribution.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as needed.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Relevant experience from an investment management, financial services, or industry related industry.
  • Compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA Rules.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, customer-service, team-working and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to write effectively, and present research, analysis, and conclusions in a persuasive manner.
  • Proven ability to develop and foster strong interpersonal relationships and to maintain effective cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
  • Must be thorough, detail-oriented, persistent, self-motivated, and able to function with independence and accuracy.
  • Good business judgment and the ability to handle challenges while maintaining a professional approach to problem solving.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and able to develop proficiency in MFS systems as required to perform the duties of this position.
  • Working knowledge of AI (ChatGPT & Copilot) is preferred.
