THE ROLE
The RFP role at MFS plays a critical role in supporting new business development, client retention efforts, and consultant relations inquiries by managing, writing, and coordinating high-quality, timely responses to RFPs, DDQs, and other information requests (collectively “requests”). This includes request scoping, stakeholder coordination, timeline management, and delivery oversight. With direction from manager or senior team members, the role requires management of basic submitted requests, in addition to writing, communication, and data gathering as needed by other team members. Requests completed are reviewed by senior members throughout completion to ensure accuracy and quality. The role supports requests on a critical point within the client journey.
What You Will Do
- With guidance, manages basic requests using standard procedures and guidelines.
- With support from their manager, or other senior team members, is responsible for assigned requests by coordinating stakeholder input, and finalizing the required document in accordance with the established RFP procedures and requirements.
- With manager or senior team member oversight, source and consolidate firm and/or product data as requested, ensuring appropriate adherence to legal and compliance requirements.
- Partners with a senior team member to ensure final responses align with predefined procedures surrounding firm messaging, regulatory standards, and branding guidelines.
- With support from manager or senior team member prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with RFP team members to improve process, templates, and documentation.
- Performs procedural and system-based administrative tasks to ensure requests comply with RFP policies and procedures.
- Assume other responsibilities as required.
What We Are Looking For
- 0-2+ years of professional experience, preferably in asset management or working with RFPs/DDQs.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Attention to detail, request management, and organisational skills with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines with guidance.
- Moderate communication, written, editorial, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products; Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to adapt to new and evolving technology and processes quickly.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency.
- Open and receptive to actioning constructive feedback.
- Ability to work collaboratively and with individuals across the organisation.
- Flexibility at short notice to work additional hours to fulfil their duties.
- Occasional travel may be required.
