My world-leading client in the development and manufacturing of invasive technology is seeking a Service Engineer. This is a key technical and customer-facing role. As a Service Engineer, you’ll be a frontline representative of the client, providing commissioning, servicing, and on-site support to customers in high-consequence environments. You will be 50% workshop based at their facility in the West Midlands and 50% field-based deployments at customer sites, including overseas travel. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to assist in making the world a safer place by taking part in the investigation, neutralising and disposing of the world’s most dangerous hazards.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission, service and maintain equipment at Client HQ and on-site with customers
  • Represent the company with professionalism, confidence and technical clarity
  • Deliver high-quality support and troubleshooting under operational pressures
  • Communicate with end-users and technical teams to ensure effective use of equipment
  • Feed insights from the field back into engineering and product development
  • Maintain accurate service records and help improve internal processes
  • Support in-house builds and learn core machining processes as part of training

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background
  • Familiarity with pneumatic systems or willingness to learn
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles—ideally in high-integrity sectors
  • Calm, professional, and methodical in troubleshooting and communication
  • Able to work independently and travel regularly, including short-notice overseas trips
  • UK Citizenship
  • UK driving licence and valid passport required
