We’re looking for a keen, committed HGV Class 1 Driver to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the safe, accurate delivery of animal feed to farms. If you enjoy driving, working independently, and take pride in doing things properly — safely, legally, and professionally — this could be a great fit.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for completing deliveries to customer farms, operating vehicles safely and legally at all times, and maintaining accurate paperwork and compliance standards.
Shift Pattern & Pay
- Permanent role
- Days only (no nights, no tramping)
- Monday to Saturday operation
- Sundays off
- 3 Week Shift Pattern
- £37,200 salary based on a 44-hour working week
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Compliance
- Drive and operate HGV vehicles safely, professionally, and in line with all legal requirements
- Complete tachograph records, manual entries, and vehicle defect reports accurately and on time
- Operate within speed and weight limits, showing consideration to other road users and the public
- Deliver animal feed safely and accurately to customer farms
- Ensure correct delivery to bins and maintain compliance standards (including UFAS where applicable)
- Take care to avoid damage to property and ensure safety around farm employees, children, and livestock
- Complete all delivery notes, cleaning records, defect reports, and associated documentation fully and on time
- Follow all company and customer health & safety policies
- Adhere to environmental procedures and support continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Essential:
- LGV Class C+E licence
- Digital tachograph card
- Driver CPC
- Regular HGV driving experience
- Professional, reliable, and compliant with legislation and site rules
- Minimum 3 months Class 1 experience
- Living within 25 miles of IP30
- Experience with tippers (training provided if required)
