My client is seeking a skilled junior/intermediate electrical design engineer to join a dynamic team that wishes to pursue a secure and long-term career in electrical building services design. With experience and knowledge of working as an individual or as part of an electrical building services design team for an M&E contractor or consultant.
Responsibilities:
- Designing to performance specifications
- Complying with the latest British Standards, CIBSE guides, Building Regulations, and relevant design guides.
- Producing detailed electrical design documents such as layout drawings, sections, and elevations of coordinated MEP systems, LV and Comms schematics, cable calculations, and lighting calculations.
- Attending design team meetings with main contractors, architects, consultant engineers, and other subcontractors.
- Working under the supervision/guidance of a senior electrical designer.
- Communicate with the mechanical design engineers to produce detailed designs in a timely manner.
Requirements/Software Experience:
- Amtech/Trimble cable calculations.
- Relux or Dialux.
- AutoCAD.
- Revit.
- Extensive knowledge of UK building regulations.
- Proven track record detailing experience of working within UK multi-residential new build schemes.
- The ability to complete basic design tasks within a specific timeframe with minimal supervision & guidance.
- Excellent professional, interpersonal, and communication skills.
