This speaks volumes about the company’s culture, technical challenges and long-term opportunities.

Senior 3D Artist role

The Senior 3D Artist will create high-quality environments, objects and synthetic scenes used to train, test and evaluate advanced AI, machine vision and autonomous systems.

This role would suit an experienced 3D Artist from synthetic data, games, simulation, VFX or virtual production who wants to apply their skills to challenging projects with real-world impact.

Working closely with AI and Machine Learning Engineers, Unreal Developers and Computer Vision Specialists, you will create realistic digital assets and operational scenarios featuring terrain, vehicles, infrastructure and other objects.

Your work will directly support next-generation perception technology operating in complex real-world environments.

The position is predominantly office and customer-site based in West London, although some remote working will be available.

  • Senior 3D Artist responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 3D environments and object models for synthetic data generation and AI training.
  • Create realistic digital scenes featuring terrain, vehicles, infrastructure and operational objects.
  • Model, texture, light, compose and optimise high-quality real-time assets.
  • Use Unreal Engine to build high-fidelity virtual environments and simulations.
  • Apply scripting and automation to improve asset and scene-generation workflows.
  • Collaborate with AI and Machine Learning Engineers to meet technical and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with Unreal Developers to integrate assets into automated synthetic-data pipelines.
  • Adapt and optimise assets for different simulation and computing platforms.
  • Translate reference material and technical requirements into realistic environments.
  • Ensure assets are visually accurate, technically efficient and suitable for real-time rendering.
  • Manage complex assets while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential experience

  • Expert-level Unreal Engine experience.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating 3D modelling, texturing, materials, lighting and scene composition.
  • Experience creating high-quality assets and environments for games, simulation, VFX, virtual production or synthetic data.
  • Strong knowledge of geometry, materials, optimisation and real-time asset workflows.
  • The ability to create realistic and technically accurate environments from reference material.
  • Experience optimising assets for real-time rendering.
  • Experience managing complex 3D assets and working independently.
  • Scripting experience used to automate 3D or scene-development workflows.
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to visual quality.
  • The ability to collaborate with Engineers, Developers and technical specialists.

Desirable experience

  • Synthetic data pipelines or AI model-training workflows.
  • NVIDIA Omniverse products and workflows.
  • Universal Scene Description.
  • Real-time rendering and simulation environments.
  • Autonomous systems or computer vision projects.
  • Defence, security, aerospace or related simulation content.
  • Experience creating vehicles, infrastructure, terrain or operational environments.
  • Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush or comparable 3D content-creation tools.
  • Security clearance

Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK BPSS and Security Check clearance. Existing clearance would be advantageous but is not essential for every appointment.

Applicants for SC clearance are normally expected to have lived in the UK for the previous five years.

A shorter period of UK residency or time spent overseas will not automatically prevent clearance, but eligibility will be assessed individually by the sponsoring authority
