A leading equipment hire business is looking for an experienced HGV Driver to join its busy Plant & Tool division in Inverness. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering stability, excellent working hours, and the chance to join a well-established company operating across the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors. The role involves loading, delivering, and collecting heavy plant equipment including diggers, dumpers, and power tools to customer sites safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and collect plant and tool equipment from customer sites
- Safely load and unload heavy plant machinery
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Complete all relevant hire documentation accurately
- Provide excellent customer service on site
- Demonstrate equipment usage where required
- Ensure compliance with all transport legislation and Health & Safety procedures
About You
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Previous experience within an HGV driving role delivering and collecting heavy plant equipment
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- A valid Digital Tachograph card
- Valid CPC qualification
- Recent trailer towing experience
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- A reliable and professional work ethic
Salary & Benefits
- Salary of £33,000 per annum
- Performance-related bonus averaging £1,500 per year
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
