We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our in-house workshop in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining a 30-vehicle mixed fleet of Class 1, Class 2, 7.5t and vans. This is a workshop-based fleet role, working alongside one other experienced technician, with planned maintenance, realistic job times and proper support.
Pay & Hours:
- Negotiable - £18.00+ per hour depending on experience
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime paid at £27.00 per hour
- Day / noon shifts: 8am-5pm or 12pm-9pm
- Every other Saturday (paid at overtime rate)

The role:
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of Class 1 & Class 2 vehicles
- 6-weekly inspections
- MOT preparation and presentation
- Fault diagnosis and rectification using manufacturer diagnostics
- Completion of job cards and service paperwork
- Liaising with colleagues and suppliers
- Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance essential
- HGV licence advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, professional approach
