About the Company – Scaling and award-winning fintech UK lending business.
About the Role – Reporting to the Finance Director, as Financial Controller you will have responsibility for all aspects of day-to-day accounting, internal management and external reporting, regulatory reporting, tax and managing the year-end audit process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for month-end close and management accounts pack with analysis and insights.
- Driving process improvements and financial controls to support future growth.
- Producing annual IFRS financial statements and disclosures including IFRS 9.
- Preparing any technical accounting memos.
- Be the finance lead on a new ERP implementation H2 2025.
- Lead and develop a team of 3 including 1 qualified accountant.
- Analysis on revenue recognition and loan book to ensure robust numbers and reporting.
- Prepare bi-annual FCA returns, VAT returns and Corporation tax including US withholding tax.
Required Skills
- You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualified experience within a senior FM or FC capacity and looking for a new challenge.
- Experience within a lending business or broader fintech is required.
- Demonstrable experience in driving controls and process improvements.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
£80-£95,000 + employee option scheme + benefits. Hybrid working, 2-3 days office per week.
