Account Executives at M+F Health are pivotal in delivering great client work and supporting the wider team, and agency, in the smooth running of campaigns and initiatives. They are client-facing and should be embedded in client accounts and proactive in coming up with ideas, producing great content and communicating effectively with clients. They also play a role in supporting the agency more widely through supporting on new business proposals and through things like social media and events.
Sector intelligence and understanding
As an Account Executive, part of your role will be in providing monitoring services for clients and/or the wider team. Doing this in a timely way is key, but we would also like our Account Executives to put thinking behind this and maintain the following:
- A broad understanding of key milestones, news and developments in the health and wellbeing sector.
- Be tuned-in to activities, campaigns, and milestones across the agency (PA and PR).
- Have a broad understanding, and a thirst to learn more, about healthcare media (for PR) and health policy (for PA).
- Start to analyse, and share, the implications of milestones/news/developments with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Keep on top of major relevant developments in the health space (policy, political and media) through regular monitoring, and provide timely alerts internally about items of interest.
- Contribute to the development of ideas and campaigns for assigned projects, and for client activity.
- Support the day-to-day operations of client accounts, projects, and campaigns - including developing responses to ad hoc client requests in a timely way and working with the wider account team to respond.
- Make recommendations to account leads about improving and growing the work being delivered.
- Maintain working relationships with clients including being vocal in meetings, documenting them and taking a lead in follow-up both internally, and with the client.
- Conduct high-quality research and prepare briefing materials for clients and in support of new business or marketing projects.
- Deliver high-quality written work including press releases, briefing materials, media alerts/pitches β evolve your writing style to the respective audience.
- Attend, and network at, relevant media, policy, and political events to develop contacts to develop sector intelligence and support the identification of potential new business opportunities.
