MF Freeman is a long‑established, family‑run business built on strong values, long‑term relationships, and pride in doing things properly. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Plant HGV Fitter to join our close‑knit team and play a vital role in keeping our operations moving.
This is a hands‑on role where your expertise will directly support our plant, transport, and site teams—maintaining a reliable fleet that underpins everything we do.
What you’ll be doing:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing HGVs and plant machinery
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
- Supporting MOTs, inspections, and statutory compliance
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising vehicle downtime
- Working closely with our Plant and Transport teams (reports to the Plant Manager)
What we’re looking for:
- Recognised mechanical qualification (HGV / Plant / Heavy Vehicles)
- Proven experience in plant or HGV maintenance
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- A reliable, safety‑first approach aligned with family‑business values

- ÂŁ/hr dependent on experience
- 20 Days holiday plus 8 days public / bank holidays
- Life Insurance (Death in Service Benefit). 3 x Annual Salary to beneficiary
