About the Company: Meyn Poultry Ltd currently provides support in four major areas: spare parts supply; machine servicing; new equipment sales and bespoke engineered solutions.

Meyn Poultry is an approved Home Office sponsor, and we are able to offer a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role to eligible candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route. A successful applicant would need to meet the specific criteria required by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) before sponsorship can be approved.

About the Role: To work on a Hybrid basis from home, regular travel to UK Poultry sites will be required during on shift week & weekends, overnight stays will be needed. You will need to attend the head office in Basingstoke 2 -3 times a month for training and meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations, maintaining a safe, clean and tidy work area including all tools and issued workwear.
  • Carry out and report machine inspections, conduct relevant repairs or improvements and conduct planned preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Provide mechanical assistance to breakdowns as required.
  • Design, manufacture and testing of any job specific tooling and equipment required.
  • Maintain a professional approach and attitude to all service jobs to promote the image and reputation of the company.
  • Complete Meyn specific equipment training.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Poultry Machine Maintenance experience - Ideally Meyn but will consider other manufacturers as well.
  • A minimum of 3 years Mechanical Engineering or Field Service experience.
  • Workshop skills i.e. welding, lathe operations, power tools and basic hand tools.
  • Driving license.
  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
  • IT skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Required Skills:

  • Working at height.
  • COSHH awareness.
  • First Aid.
  • Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety in particular, food hygiene.
  • Food industry knowledge.
  • Forklift truck license.
  • IPAF 3a license.
  • Lifting and slinging.

Pay range and compensation package: Full-time benefits include company pension.
