Wavin, a division of Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure business, is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer in Doncaster. You will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance activities, supporting project work, and mentoring apprentices while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

The role includes:

  • Conducting day-to-day maintenance activities, maintaining machine availability
  • Conducting proactive work including PPM and improvement work
  • Actively and analytically fault finding
  • Contributing to implementing new working methods and actively participating in continuous improvement
  • Maintaining maintenance monitoring
  • Operating in line with all health and safety standards
  • Implementing and adhering to safe working practices in accordance with legislation
  • Supporting the Lead Engineers in implementing workplace organisation across the engineering department
  • Mentoring Apprentices within the Maintenance department
  • Attending daily engineering steering, weekly RCA and monthly energy meetings

The profile:

The successful candidate will have experience operating as a qualified Engineer, preferably with an electrical bias within a manufacturing environment. The post holder will possess strong technical knowledge in injection moulding, extrusion and automated assembly systems and demonstrate excellent communication skills across all mediums with the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders. In addition to organisational and prioritisation skills, a high degree of flexibility is also required to ensure business needs are met.
