  • Overview

Mexican Summer and Anthology Recordings are Brooklyn-based independent record labels with a deep commitment to creative and culturally significant music.

As we grow our international presence, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team based in East London.

This is an entry-level role supporting the Head of UK & International across all aspects of release project management, marketing initiatives, international retail, and distributor coordination.

The right person is highly organised, proactive, and genuinely passionate about independent music.

You'll be embedded in the day-to-day running of release campaigns β€” learning how an independent label actually operates from the inside, and playing a meaningful role in getting music to audiences around the world.

This role reports directly to the Head of UK & International in London and works closely with the project management team and label leadership in Brooklyn.

  • Core Responsibilities
  • Release Coordination
  • Assist the Head of UK & International in managing release timelines and deliverables across UK and international partners.
  • Track and coordinate asset delivery β€” audio files, artwork, metadata, marketing materials β€” ensuring everything reaches the right partners on time.
  • Maintain release calendars and update internal marketing documents as campaigns progress.
  • Handle day-to-day operations and communication with distributors and retail partners to confirm release setup, stock arrival, and launch readiness.
  • Coordinate logistics for international events, showcases, and promotional appearances.
  • Support scheduling of interviews, media engagements, and artist appearances.
  • Distributor & Retail Support
  • Support day-to-day communications with Integral and other International distribution partners under the direction of the Head of UK & International.
  • Assist in coordinating physical allocations, territory-specific product variants, and promotional programs with key retail accounts.
  • Assist with international sales sheets, retail pitch materials, and allocation documents.
  • Help manage the logistics of in-store events, listening posts, and any in-territory retail activations tied to artist touring or promotional activity.
  • Coordinate promo mailing logistics for physical releases across UK and European retail accounts.
  • Administrative & Reporting
  • Monitor and compile sales data, tour dates, press and radio performance, and streaming figures for international markets, feeding information back to the global team.
  • Build and maintain centralised contact databases for international retail, radio, and press partners.
  • Assist with preparing materials for international partner meetings and campaign reviews.
  • Handle general administrative tasks that support the smooth running of the London operation.
  • Cross-Team Coordination
  • Act as the London-side point of contact for day-to-day communication between the U. S. team and international partners.
  • Flag time-sensitive issues, territory-specific opportunities, and market developments to the Head of UK & International.
  • Support the onboarding of new releases into international markets, coordinating with project managers in Brooklyn to ensure alignment across all territories.

What We're Looking For

  • 1–2 years of experience in music, media, or a related field β€” recent graduates warmly encouraged to apply.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for independent, catalogue, and left-of-center music
  • Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach.
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working across time zones with a Brooklyn-based team.
  • Familiarity with standard office tools (Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets) and comfortable learning new systems.
  • Knowledge of UK and international physical retail and distribution a plus but not required.
