This is a pivotal role for Mews FinTech's division as we enter the next phase of our high-growth journey. Our ideal candidate has a successful track record at highly financially regulated or fintech companies. You should also have experience positioning a company as a thought leader in their space. You will receive high-level objectives from the leadership team and must figure out with your team how to accomplish those objectives using knowledge, data, and experience.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

  • Employee Relations Management: Be an expert in industry best practices around functional areas of new trends and opportunities to constantly raise the bar on people deliverables.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of compensation and benefits and development activity.
  • Learning & Development: Work closely with the L&D Manager, support the design and delivery of appropriate training and development programs with a focus on succession planning and talent development.
  • Management & People Data Analysis: Demonstrate very strong analytical capabilities and influence business leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention and the employee experience.
  • People Team Programs Design & Execution: Develop and own the delivery of the strategic people-related plans for each Mews business leader, ensuring consistency with the People Team's key objectives and goals & enforcing consistency with our policies & procedures.
  • Organisation Structure & Design: Work closely with Fintech Leadership and Talent Acquisition, build out a standalone function and drive a resource plan for critical senior hires to support org development and design and deliver compliance for IPO readiness.

You’ll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you:

  • Proven track record as a strategic People Business Partner with success in a high-volume, fast-paced, hands-on environment within a FinTech company.
  • Experience leading and managing complex cross-functional projects, including international expansion and opening new markets.
  • Extensive experience in a highly regulated payment environment, with a deep understanding of compliance and payment licensing requirements.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in compliance and payment licensing, acting as a subject matter expert to provide strategic guidance.
  • Demonstrated strong commercial acumen, with the ability to make proactive, risk-adjusted decisions that drive business progress.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a rapidly changing work environment, embracing ambiguity, and addressing challenges proactively.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring employees at all levels within the organization, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve business objectives and productivity.
  • Fluent in English, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
