We are recruiting for a Marketing Business Development Executive to work in London with our Marketing and Business Development (M&BD) Team. This is a fixed-term contract till the end of January 2027 to cover maternity leave in the team.
The role is for a Marketing and Business Development (M&BD) professional who is creative, ambitious, and willing to work hard and who is passionate about developing a career in marketing and business development. There will be the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities and grow in this role for someone that shows aptitude to do this. If you’re organised, resourceful and creative then this is the perfect opportunity. You’ll join a collaborative team in a leading professional services firm, where you’ll work on exciting projects that make a real impact.
The role will have a range of responsibilities which will include:
- Managing The HIVE (social intranet): content, events, and membership
- Liaising with our web agency for website enhancements and bug fixes
- Working with our PR agency on proactive and reactive press
- Delivering external communications across social media
- Working with our film agency on video production and internal film strategy
- Overseeing firmwide charity activity and managing the Awareness Days calendar, coordinating activity and events

About you: A background in IP or a law firm isn’t essential for this role, though both would be advantageous. Instead, we’re looking for someone with strong marketing experience, ideally gained in professional services. What you do need is to be commercial, dynamic and ambitious and want a role where you are part of a strong team that all work together to get the job done. What matters most though is your enthusiasm and drive. You will be organised, adaptable, and able to manage your time effectively. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential. Accuracy and consistency are crucial to ensure all internal and external communications align with the firm’s tone and brand.
Technical skills that will help you succeed:
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Familiarity with website CMS and Adobe Creative Cloud (advantageous)
- A strong eye for visual design
- Experience with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram
- Website content management systems experience, ideally HubSpot (an advantage)
- Social intranet experience an advantage, ideally WorkVivo
