We’re looking for someone with strong marketing and business development experience, ideally gained in professional services. A background in IP or a law firm isn’t essential for this role, though both would be advantageous. What you do need is to be commercial, dynamic and ambitious and want a role where you are part of a strong team that works together to get the job done. Enthusiasm and drive are what matter most.
The role would suit someone who enjoys turning plans into action, building strong internal relationships and using insight, organisation and good judgement to help generate opportunities, strengthen client relationships and raise the firm's profile. We are also looking for someone who is comfortable using technology, including AI tools, to work smarter, improve the quality of outputs and help the team adopt practical, responsible new ways of working. Experience within Life Sciences, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, MedTech or another science-led sector and managing or supporting legal directory submissions would be advantageous. You will be organised, adaptable, and able to manage your time effectively. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential. Accuracy and consistency are crucial to ensure all internal and external communications align with the firm’s tone and brand.
Technical skills that will help you succeed:
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Knowledge and comfort in using AI and digital tools as part of day-to-day work, with the curiosity to test new approaches and the judgement to use them responsibly.
- Experience using HubSpot or another CRM system
- Experience using specialist research tools, such as IP Pilot, to support client, market, competitor or sector research
Your career is important to us, and we will invest in you to allow you to develop and grow. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise across marketing, business development, legal directories, CRM systems, events, client relationship management, Life Sciences sector marketing and the practical use of AI and technology within a structured career development framework.
