We are currently looking for a qualified Accountant with hospitality experience to join our team at Hotel Meudon. This can be offered with a hybrid working pattern and is a great job for someone who enjoys the balance of being part of an onsite team alongside the flexibility to self‑manage your work remotely. You will ideally have a background in hospitality or have translatable experience which demonstrates you are comfortable both with the financial numbers and reporting needs alongside providing support and coaching your operational colleagues so strong financial controls and performance can be delivered. Given the nature of our industry, it is important that you also feel comfortable engaging with our guests and supporting the wider warm hospitality welcome that Hotel Meudon is known for. This is a maternity cover role initially, but there is a possibility of either an extension of the contract or a permanent role in the future. Contract to commence in June 2026.

Key points for the Accountant role:

  • This role reports to the Group Financial Controller and has daily functional operational reporting to the onsite General Manager.
  • You will be responsible for undertaking administrative tasks that support good financial controls and performance.
  • Tasks must meet the required deadlines and be completed with diligence and accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly P&L’s, accurately process and report all invoices and staff expenses for the accounting period, reconcile supplier statements, prepare and post month end journals.
  • Support with payroll & associated processes.
  • New starter and leaver processes, pension processing and returns along with declarations and administration associated with HMRC and other relevant bodies.
  • Day to day running of the accounts office, producing and interpreting data and financial reports as required to offer support to your onsite colleagues to ensure timely financial protocols are in place.
  • Ensure financial procedures, operational systems and best practice are followed by the wider onsite teams.
  • Promote best practice in everyday operations and be confident to raise any potential concern with the Financial Controller.
  • Be confident to engage with our guests, so that they genuinely feel the inclusive approach we have to ensuring all of guests and visitors have a fabulous stay.
