Our client is a high-growth online business with an entrepreneurial culture, delivering innovative products within the B2C sector. As they continue to scale, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of E-Commerce to lead their digital growth and take their online presence to the next level.
The Head of E-Commerce will bring a wealth of experience in leading online trading, merchandising, CRM and project management of UX and CRO improvement. They will be responsible for driving revenue and brand growth across all digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who is commercially minded, creative, and excited to shape the future of our direct-to-consumer business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and own the end-to-end e-commerce strategy to drive online sales, profitability, and brand growth
- Lead digital commercial planning, including forecasting, trading performance, and promotional calendars
- Ensure the website delivers best-in-class performance, UX, conversion, and brand consistency
- Monitor and analyse daily and weekly performance metrics, taking action to improve conversion rate, AOV, retention, and customer experience
- Oversee product launches, online merchandising, and category management
- Manage a structured roadmap of A/B testing, CRO initiatives, and analytics-led improvements
- Work closely with the marketing team to grow traffic through SEO, paid media, social, email, and influencer activity
- Own the CRM strategy across Email, WhatsApp, and SMS, including segmentation, automation, and lifecycle journeys
- Lead paid media strategy and account management, controlling budgets and performance, and building out a PPC team as the business scales
- Manage the Amazon platform and affiliate marketing activity
- Partner with Operations, Fulfilment, and Customer Service teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer journey
- Improve processes across delivery performance, returns, stock forecasting, and inventory accuracy
- Maintain exceptional standards across product pages, imagery, and content
- Lead and develop the digital and merchandising team, with plans to build out CRO specialist capability as the business grows
- Prepare and present clear performance reports, insights, and strategic recommendations
- Proven experience in a senior e-commerce leadership role, ideally within beauty, lifestyle, or a D2C consumer brand
- Strong commercial mindset with a demonstrable track record of driving online revenue growth
- Highly data-driven, with deep understanding of CRO, SEO, digital marketing, and online trading
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (Amazon preferred), analytics tools, and CRM/email systems (Bloomreach preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- A balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution
