Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Director who will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. You will work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, ensure sustainable growth, and provide strategic insights that shape the future direction of the company.
Responsibilities
- A successful track record in a senior commercial and operational finance role, ideally in a private SME.
- Previous experience in adding value by bringing an objective view and constantly looking for ways to make improvements to a business.
- Demonstrable track record of taking a business through growth and process transformation, leveraging new technology in a practical way to drive consistency and efficiency.
- Experience in the construction sector with an understanding of projects, contractual accounting, forecasting cash, working capital and profit.
- A hands-on attitude with the ability to work proactively with a forward-thinking approach.
- A desire to work for a business with ambitious plans for growth.
- Natural leadership capabilities, with a credible background and proven experience of the ability to engage cross-functionally with a collaborative mindset.
- A curious and inquisitive personality, with the intellectual capacity and gravitas to contribute and influence as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Great attention to detail, and be a completer-finisher by nature with a natural orientation towards targets and deadlines.
- A logical and structured approach to strategy and performance, ensuring goals are fully understood by the wider business and targets are met and exceeded.

Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within the construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategy development.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
