We are seeking a commercially minded Chief Operating Officer to lead operational performance across a premium contract-led service business. This role is central to building a data-driven, scalable operating model, improving consistency, and driving EBITDA growth.
As COO, you will move the organisation from reactive delivery to proactive planning. You will strengthen operational discipline, embed effective use of technology and data, modernise workforce planning, and lead innovation across systems, equipment and ways of working.
Responsibilities include:
- Embedding proactive planning, forecasting and risk prevention
- Leading operational performance across the business, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery
- Delivering margin improvement and cost control in partnership with finance teams
- Improving workforce planning and productivity, scheduling efficiency and labour optimisation
- Driving full adoption of operational systems
- Coaching and developing senior operational leaders
- Leading operational transformation, contract improvements and new mobilisations
- Improving service quality, audit outcomes and client satisfaction
Candidate requirements:
- Demonstrable track record of taking a business through growth and process transformation, leveraging new technology in a practical way to drive consistency and efficiency
- Senior operational leader within a contract-led service environment (e.g. Facilities Management, Logistics, Cleaning, Hospitality, Transport and Retail)
- Experience improving operational consistency and system adoption
- Proven track record of improving operational and financial performance
- Strong experience with systems, data and technology-led improvement
- Commercial, “data savvy”, analytical and highly structured
- Confident people leader with the credibility and gravitas to drive accountability and change
- Curious, innovative and forward-thinking in approach
- Able and willing to work in London
