We're hiring our first in-house team member at Mettryx. If you're a part/fully-qualified accountant wanting to get closer to the decision-making side of business then this might be for you.
Mettryx is a fractional finance practice. We work with founder-led businesses turning over £1m+, helping them use finance to actively shape where they're going not just record where they've been. Our role is a delicate balance of being close enough to care, independent enough to be honest. This is a multi-client role. You'll own monthly finance rhythms across a portfolio of clients, maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, support financial modelling, and help deliver our Performance Diagnostic - a structured framework for understanding what's really going on in a business.
What we're looking for:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or part-qualified) with c3-7 years' experience
- Confident in Xero (and/or similar systems) and able to produce a clean management pack independently
- Strong Excel skills - structured models, not just formatting
- Solid UK GAAP / FRS 102 grounding
- A clear, thoughtful writer - your work is truly seen by clients
- Someone who can juggle multiple clients without dropping the ball
You don't need fractional experience, but you do need to be comfortable with ambiguity, care about getting things right, and be genuinely interested in how businesses work. This role is predominantly remote but an ability to occasionally work with the wider team in the Thames Valley region would be highly desirable.
What you get:
- 32 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Pension contribution
- A role that's designed to grow with and to help shape the practice
We're a small team living the values of work hard, have fun, be nice. To apply, send your CV and a short covering note to . The note matters as much as the CV - please tell us how you think, why this appeals, and what you'd want to know before joining.
