We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Laboratory (Sales) to lead the Laboratory division in Leicester. This is a high-impact leadership role with full accountability for the division's commercial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and market positioning across the UK. Covering a portfolio of balances, pipettes, and analytical instruments, you will lead a consultative sales organisation to deliver sustainable growth and a best-in-class customer experience.
As a key member of the local leadership team, you will work in close partnership with the General Manager and global Laboratory leadership to define and execute strategy. You will combine strategic planning with hands-on leadership, ensuring alignment with wider group objectives while driving operational excellence across sales, marketing, and customer engagement.
What You Need to Succeed
- Hold full P&L responsibility for the Laboratory division, delivering sales, order entry, and profitability targets in line with annual and long-term plans.
- Develop and execute the divisional commercial strategy in collaboration with senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews, implementing corrective actions to ensure delivery against targets.
- Drive market expansion and strengthen the division's position as a UK market leader.
- Drive corporate programmes, including Spinnaker, with a focus on lead generation, sales force effectiveness, sales setup, and value selling.
- Build and enhance UK sales support capabilities, including telemarketing and telesales functions.
- Train, motivate, and develop team members to achieve key business objectives and support succession planning.
- Collaborate across the Mettler Toledo group to deliver strategic goals and business objectives.
- Ensure customer service standards are industry-leading and continuously improved to meet the needs of customers, employees, and stakeholders.
