An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Software Engineer to join a leading global supplier of industrial equipment to the food and beverage market, based in Salford. You'll work on new features for next-generation products, focusing on both desktop and embedded software development. We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills who can work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You'll collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and maintain innovative software solutions that meet end user requirements, with a strong focus on integration and optimization within industrial electronic platforms.
- Elicit requirements from key stakeholders, generate software requirements and technical specification documents, seek clarification as and where necessary.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates & techniques.
- Maintain watching brief on development of new technologies, techniques and methodologies.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Software Architect and other team members.
- Identify and correct reported defects in collaboration with the Software Test Team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Travel as individual projects necessitate (minimal and infrequent).
- Perform duties in accordance with all Company policies, procedures and processes.
