About the Role

The Technical Requirements Engineer will be an integral part of the Quality function and will play a critical role in ensuring the correct processing and release of customer orders into the manufacturing environment at Mettis. This is a technically demanding role requiring a deep understanding of aerospace specifications, including those relating to metal forming, heat treatment, and other NADCAP-designated special processes used throughout the Mettis manufacturing operation.

You will review technical aspects of customer contracts, drawings, and documentation, integrating customer requirements with Mettis standard processes to produce accurate, compliant, and cost-effective methods of manufacture. You will also be responsible for raising and maintaining manufacturing routes, Bills of Materials, and stock descriptions using the EFACS business management system, ensuring alignment with internal and customer-driven change processes.

As a condition of employment, successful candidates are required to satisfy ITAR (International Traffic In Arms Regulations) compliance and must fulfil the following before commencing this role:

  • Currently hold the legal Right to Work in the UK
  • Fulfil a DBS clearance
  • Provide a consistent 5-year UK domicile
  • Pass Drugs
