As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play a key role within our machining division. Using your technical skills and attention to detail, you will set up, operate, and monitor 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision aerospace components. You will follow strict safety and quality standards and ensure all parts meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. You will support the full machining process, contributing to the production of mission‑critical components for the Defence and Aerospace sectors.
Scope and Responsibilities:
- To operate various machines in the Machining Cell (CNC Milling).
- Operation of CNC milling machines (Heidenhain, Fanuc or Mazatrol controls).
- Set up fixtures, tooling and programmes.
- Run machines as per SOPs and instructions.
- Quality control and inspection of parts.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience of programming is desirable.
- EHS PPE adherence.
Accountabilities:
- Safety: Compliance to policy (PPE etc), Safe systems of work.
- Quality: Ensure the quality of parts, Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality principles, Inspection.
- Delivery: Knowledge and experience operating CNC machine tools, Understanding of component drawings, Share expertise and knowledge throughout the machining division, Improve cutting times, Reduce tooling costs, Promote process improvements.
- People: Responsive and agile, Creative and innovative, Communication, Involvement & Engagement, Team communications.
- Business: Active involvement and responsive to change, Role model for the company’s Vision, Mission and Values.
Performance Measures: KPI’s / PI’s in line with accountabilities as agreed at PDR.
