We are seeking a Project Manager to join our GBPS Proposals and Project Management team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Engineered-to-Order (ETO) projects in alignment with Metso’s processes, tools, and policies, overseeing upgrades and modernization initiatives while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets. Your role plays a crucial part in driving operational excellence and executing Principal Company Model (PCM) projects, which will contribute to long-term business profitability across global markets. In this position, you will report to the relevant GBPS leadership team and work primarily from Pittsburgh or York, PA, with hybrid options.

You will join a team of project management professionals and technical experts who are passionate about delivering high‑quality engineered solutions and driving project excellence. The team manages upgrades, modernization projects, and supports global PCM project execution across diverse markets. We work closely with internal stakeholders – Sales, Proposals, Account Management, Technical Sales Support, Product Commercial Support, Engineering, Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics, and Field Services – fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage upgrades and modernization projects, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and contractual commitments.
  • Apply risk management strategies to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Drive scope control and change management processes throughout project execution.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support accurate planning and delivery.
  • Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets.
  • Facilitate post‑project reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
  • Support warranty processes and resolve post‑delivery issues with customers.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience managing equipment delivery projects, preferably in mining or mineral processing.
  • Strong understanding of mining and mineral processing technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and effectively prioritize competing demands.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP (PS & MM modules) or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and openness to learning new tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong influencing skills, independent decision‑making ability, and a results‑driven mindset.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across global and culturally diverse teams.
