We're a small batch of handpicked locals – your home for British hospitality. Regardless of the occasion, we’re here to serve great-tasting food and drink, with our guests at the heart of everything we do. At the bottom of the staggering Whitby 199 steps is The Duke Of York, a traditional British pub in the heart of Whitby. Our food menu offers a range of delicious British classics and more modern delights, from Sunday lunches to hearty breakfasts, sumptuous sweets and more. Or, if our guests are looking for some well-earned refreshment after completing the descent, our selection of cask and craft ales, wines, spirits and cocktails will do the trick nicely. We also offer eight stunning en-suite rooms, making us the perfect long and short-stay spot for regulars and visitors looking to explore our beautiful seaside town.
