We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Later Living to lead the operational delivery and strategic direction of our national Later Living services. You will provide senior leadership across a large and geographically dispersed service, shaping plans to improve both the quality and supply of homes for older people, while ensuring excellent customer outcomes, regulatory compliance and strong commercial performance. As a key member of the MTVH Support leadership team, you will act as the organisational expert in Later Living, influencing service innovation, business growth and sector-leading practice.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading teams to deliver high performance and excellent customer outcomes
  • Driving delivery against Customer, Colleague, Commercial and Compliance KPIs
  • Shaping and delivering strategic objectives for Later Living services and contributing to wider directorate priorities
  • Leading service development, new business opportunities and innovative models across social and leasehold markets
  • Acting as senior representative with commissioners, funders and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing customer satisfaction, service quality, audit outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Leading co-design approaches with customers and colleagues to enhance service delivery
  • Providing sector leadership, ensuring services respond to national policy and emerging trends in housing for older people.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience within supported housing, Later Living or care services
  • Demonstrable experience managing large, dispersed teams and delivering high performance across multiple sites
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience of budget accountability and delivering value for money
  • Proven track record of developing business cases and contributing to service growth and innovation
  • Experience working with commissioners, funders and external stakeholders across housing, health and social care
  • Strong understanding of the needs of older people and the Later Living sector, including policy and best practice
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including presenting at senior leadership or Board level
  • Ability to build inclusive, high-performing cultures and lead through change
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and delivering safe, high-quality services.
