The Care & Support Manager is pivotal to the success of our scheme in Sheffield. You will be responsible for leading a supported living service for people with complex and enduring mental health conditions. The purpose of the service is to equip customers with independent living skills that they may have lost as a result of their illness. Each customer has unique support needs and the service prides itself on providing person-centred care, and promoting choice and control, so that customers can fulfil their potential and lead full and happy lives.

Overall Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

  • Day to day running of the service.
  • Providing an excellent level of customer service and ensuring that all regulatory, contractual and quality commitments are met to a high standard.
  • Recruit, induct, develop and manage the performance of staff to deliver cohesive, high performing teams, which consistently achieve performance targets.
  • Support the Operation Manager to manage service income and expenditure budgets effectively.
  • Assist with the monitoring, management and reporting on performance and risk, taking appropriate action to deliver compliance with quality standards, business targets, contractual and regulatory frameworks.
  • Support the development of the services, raising the profile of MTVH Support.

This is a demanding and full-time role, with a requirement to participate in On Call duties.

  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults, preferably those who live with mental health conditions.
  • Experience of dynamic risk assessment and partnership working.
  • Line management and leadership experience.
