About the role

The post works primarily on our major 2,000+ home regeneration at West Hendon; a Joint Venture (JV) with Barratt. This is an opportunity to work on one of London's largest regenerations, balancing commercial partnership with a major developer with our values as a social housing provider and the needs and aspirations of the local community.

  • Working with Barratt colleagues on review and optimisation of the JV delivery strategy
  • Running financial appraisals and optioneering on future affordable homes within the development
  • Representing the JV, alongside Barratt colleagues in regular strategic meetings with the Local Authority
  • Review / variation / updating of the scheme's legal agreements

This role will suit someone who has prior experience of working within both joint ventures and affordable housing delivery, delivering complex residential regeneration at scale. The role has no direct reports, but requires daily collaboration with internal colleagues, our partners at Barratt and at Barnet. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.

You will be a confident, diplomatic, technically-minded leader, who thrives in managing complex, multidisciplinary workloads alongside being an excellent JV partner and collaborator, whilst keeping residents at the centre of decision-making. You will bring:

  • Delivery of large mixed tenure regenerations.
  • Writing and presenting clear and high quality papers to executive committees
  • Development appraisals, robust budget management and financial oversight (previous experience in using Pamwin or Proval desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory, regulatory and contractual frameworks governing regeneration projects
  • Strong communication skills, including engaging professionally and diplomatically with residents, stakeholders, consultants and colleagues.
  • Experience of performance reporting and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work confidently with multiple stakeholders

Desirable knowledge:

  • Understanding of construction management, BIM and building safety
  • Procurement and tendering processes
  • Broad understanding of estate management and service charges
  • District heat networks

Personal qualities:

  • A natural advocate for MTVH, customers and residents

  • Play a key role on one of our high-profile regenerations with a great JV partner
  • Make a real difference to customers and a large neighbourhood
