About the Role
As a Building Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our buildings are safe, compliant, and well-managed. You will lead on delivering building safety across high-risk residential buildings, ensuring we meet all requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 while fostering a culture that prioritises resident safety and trust. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference—protecting residents, driving improvements, and shaping how building safety is delivered across MTVH.
What You'll Be Doing
- Put residents at the centre of building safety by ensuring their homes are safe and their voices are heard
- Lead on resident engagement, providing clear, transparent communication on safety matters
- Respond proactively to safety concerns, ensuring residents feel supported and reassured
- Drive continuous improvement in building safety practices and compliance
- Take ownership of complex safety challenges and deliver innovative, practical solutions
- Lead on developing and maintaining Building Safety Cases and the Golden Thread
- Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver a coordinated approach to safety
- Build strong relationships with the Building Safety Regulator and other stakeholders
- Influence and support colleagues to embed a positive safety culture across the organisation
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Building Safety Manager for designated high-risk buildings
- Ensure compliance with fire, structural, and building safety legislation
- Develop and maintain Safety Case Reports
- Oversee risk assessments, inspections, and remedial works
- Manage safety data systems and the Golden Thread of information
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality delivery
- Investigate incidents and implement learning outcomes
- Provide clear reporting to senior leaders and governance groups

You will also have:
- Proven experience in a Building Safety, Fire Safety, or Compliance role
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022
- Experience working with high-risk residential buildings
- Understanding of fire and structural safety principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Fire Safety, Building Safety, Building Surveying, Engineering)
- Professional membership (IOSH, IFE, RICS, CIOB) desirable
