The Role

We are recruiting an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter with experience in social housing or local authority environments. You will undertake carpentry and other trade repairs and maintenance work, providing high quality, cost-effective building services to the business and its customers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct carpentry and related trade tasks in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work, and recognised industrial standards.
  • Minimise damage to the property fabric during repair and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, and long-term relevant trade experience.
  • Experience working as a carpenter with extended skills, having previously worked in social housing.
  • Valid manual UK driving licence.
  • One year of significant driving experience is required.
  • Acceptable insurance coverage under the company fleet policy (reserves the right to withdraw offer if insurance is not secured).
  • Subject to a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service; DBS check added to DBS updating service, with a new check every 3 years.
