We are a housing association built on a simple mission to give our residents a safe, secure and affordable home, and the chance to live well. That is as true today as it was in the 1950s, when founder Molly Huggins established Metropolitan to provide decent homes for Windrush migrants in London, and as it was in the 1980s as Thames Valley housing pioneered a new innovative Share Ownership product, to make home ownership more affordable. Today, MTVH owns or manages more than 57,000 homes and builds circa 1000 new homes a year. We provide a range of care and support services, with specialist areas including older people, mental health and transitional services which provides intensive support to marginalised or vulnerable people.
