The BMS Project Manager role will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery from undertaking sales to operations handovers, supply chain engagement, engineering management right through to project handover and post completion support.

Type of contract: Permanent

Department: BMS

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 Hours per week, 07:00am - 04:00pm

Location: London – must be willing to travel outside London should it be required.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years with project management experience in the construction industry, with experience in BMS and control systems.
  • Ability to manage internal & external stakeholders.
  • Good verbal and written skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word & Project.
  • Experience working on large projects (£2-£4M in value).
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Experience of managing H&S in a construction environment.
  • Valid Safe pass site card.
  • Experience working within Datacentres / critical infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of Metasys, Tridium, Trend or any OEM BMS platform.
  • First Aid & SMSTS / SSSTS.
  • Experience with different forms of contract.
  • Knowledge of necessary Contractual procedures and requirements (e.g. the Construction Act).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example, promote the highest of standards with regards to HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements in all instances.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and vendors.
  • Undertake a sales handover to understand the scope of works and then filter through to the necessary project team.
  • Responsible for H&S and environmental management.
  • Ability to drive the project programme, ensuring key milestones are maintained.
  • Ability to foresee potential points of failure and react accordingly.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports including programme drop lines to project stakeholders.
  • Understanding the importance of the development and submission of RFI’s, TQ’s and driving close out of items raised.
  • Familiar with Technical Submission procedures and sign off.
  • Provide direction, control and implementation of projects.
  • Responsible for the project commercial performance.
  • Monitor, review and report on the progress of all projects.
  • Drive standardisation throughout the organisation, ensuring project documentation is consistent.
  • Engage with Supply Chain & Subcontract organisations.
  • Provide regular reports to leadership.
  • Undertake risk reviews.
  • Chair Client meetings.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and licenses.
