Overview
In this role, you will support technology governance through effective reporting and change control within the Portfolio Management Office. You will enable governance, tracking and escalation across national and London CT&PS portfolios, while backing business as usual and strategic workstreams including commercial and finance. You will develop reporting products, facilitate workshops, and provide guidance to ensure consistent standards. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility during peak demand, with a clear impact on decision-making at portfolio level.
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality portfolio-level governance reporting products (RAG, milestones, risks/issues, benefits, financial/resource data)
- Manage portfolio reporting cycles and submit highlight/progress reports to Portfolio Office
- Plan agendas with clear decisions and ensure accurate meeting minutes
- Oversee Portfolio Change Control Request (CCR) processes and audit reporting actions
- Support Centre of Excellence to implement robust reporting approaches and tools
- Ensure consistent reporting standards across national technology portfolios and with PMOs
- Provide hands-on support to other Portfolio Bands (RAID, Planning, Resourcing, Procurement and Benefits) during high demand
Key requirements
- Experience delivering reporting in a project/programme management environment with escalation processes
- Ability to establish and implement reporting and change control mechanisms
- Experience with governance board minute taking
- Coaching to promote adherence to standards
- Knowledge of MSP or PRINCE2; PRINCE2 accredited
- Strong IT skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Interpersonal skills across all levels
- Facilitation and elicitation of information and agreement from stakeholders
