The predicted salary is between 49500 - 60500 £ per year.

Location and Time Commitment: Attendance at approximately eight strategic meetings per year, each lasting around half a day, in Central London. In addition, the postholder may be called upon to provide support and advice on a less formal basis as required.

Contract: Three years, with the option to extend by mutual agreement.

Help shape the future of policing in London. Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is seeking to appoint Non-executive director (NED) to the MPS Management Board. This is a unique opportunity to provide independent advice, challenge and support to the senior leadership of the UK's largest police service as it continues its ambitious reform journey through the New Met for London 2 (NMfL2) programme.

Reporting to the chief strategy and investment officer, you will join a small group of highly experienced NEDs who act as trusted sounding boards to the Management Board, bringing external insight, strategic challenge and specialist expertise to support effective leadership, decision-making and organisational performance.

The Role

  • Provide independent advice, challenge and support to the MPS Management Board.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the MPS's strategic plans and reform agenda.
  • Bring external perspectives and experience to strengthen governance and decision-making.
  • Support senior leaders in driving organisational transformation, culture change and continuous improvement.
  • Help enhance leadership effectiveness, succession planning and board capability.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Commissioner and senior leadership team.

About You

  • Experience as a Non-executive director, advisor or board member.
