The Higher Intelligence Analyst Trainer will design, develop and deliver bespoke training packages for Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Intelligence Analysts and Researchers, and manage the implementation of career pathways to advance professional development across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop national training programmes and course materials for CT analysts and researchers, incorporating Structured Analytic Techniques.
- Support the creation and execution of career pathways for A&R staff within CTP.
- Act as a role model and promote best practice in analytical training nationally and internationally.
- Represent CTP at national analysis training venues and liaise with UK and international partners (e.g., Cabinet Office PHIA, FBI).
- Maintain relationships with national and international agencies to maximise training opportunities.
Essential Experience
- Organised, able to manage multiple work strands simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship‑building skills across organisational boundaries.
- Strong written and oral communication, capable of explaining complex issues clearly.
- Proficient in IT and analytical software, willing to learn new systems.
- Interest in intelligence, national security and counter‑terrorism topics.
Desirable Experience
- Training qualification such as Level 3 AET or Level 4 CET, or willingness to pursue one.
- Successful design and development of complex training courses.
- Experience delivering specialised training and innovating training methods.
- Willingness to travel within the UK to deliver courses.
