Who are we looking for? This exciting career opportunity is open to both exceptional uniform / detective constables and uniform / detective sergeants looking to become a detective sergeant at the Metropolitan Police Service. Constables must have a valid NPPF, or OSPRE part II and sergeants must have a completed Work-based Assessment, with a proven track record of effective delivery.

Becoming a Scotland Yard Detective has been a source of immense personal and professional pride for me, and I know that feeling is shared by many who have taken this career path. The journey to become a detective is deliberately challenging, but the career opportunities it opens up are varied and hugely rewarding.
